Machine Shop
When the EMS machine shop closed their doors in 2017, our former machinist Bill Diehl accepted a position in the Engineering Machine Shop. We have negotiated with Engineering that Bill be the EMS liaison for assisting all EMS faculty, staff and students in the design and fabrication of samples, instrument components, and other apparatus fabrication needs. Bill can be reached at his current e-mail wld10@psu.edu. He is located in Engineering shop building behind the bus station across Atherton Street.
Glassblowing Shop
A glassblowing shop is provided and run by the Department of Chemistry at Penn State. Located in Whitmore Lab, this is a full service shop capable of fabricating and repairing scientific glassware. Design assistance is available, if needed.
